I couldn't agree more with some key points of this posting. I was, until the Bush administration, very "neo-con"ish in my outlook on things. I remember looking at it being my duty as a christian to do everything possible to save America from the "evil democrats." This was folly to be sure as the very idea that God, who inhabits all of eternity needs a political aparatus to fulfill his will. Scripture is coming to pass regardless of the desires of some folks to steer things in their direction. The Lord has totally liberated me from that way of thinking and my faith is in him alone. I can't even bring myself to listen to Rush anymore as I see the bigger picture. Jesus is coming. This is the most important event of our time and yet so few are watching. Thank you for addressing this issue as there are so many saints tied up in the political mechanisms that may very well be used against us in the future.
